Fresh off hitting a grand slam and knocking in six runs against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, Boston Red Sox infielder  Xander Bogaerts was forced from Sunday’s game with that was a scary-looking leg injury as he attempted to dive for a foul ball.
Here’s the play in question.

Bogaerts was seen limping into the clubhouse following the injury. It’s obviously too early to tell just how significant the injury is. But it most definitely didn’t look good.
The All-star entered Sunday’s game hitting .371 with two homers and nine RBI for a Boston squad that’s off to one of its best starts in franchise history.
