The Tampa Bay Rays were teeing off against Oakland Athletics starter Sean Manaea early in Wednesday’s AL Wild Card Game.
It started with a lead-off homer in the first inning. Then, with one on in the bottom of the second, outfielder Avisail Garcia hit an absolutely mammoth homer off Manaea dead center.
The ball traveled 437 feet and had an absurd 115 MPH exit velocity. It’s the hardest hit ball of the young postseason and one of the hardest hit balls all year.
This gave Tampa Bay a 3-0 lead as the team looks to advance to take on the Houston Astros in the divisional round.
