Before their spring training game against the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers honored the memory of the late Yordano Ventura.
Ventura lost his life earlier this winter in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, his native country.
In a touching pre-game ceremony, Adrian Beltre delivered flowers to the pitcher’s mound as both teams lined up to remember the former Royals pitcher.

It was a touching way to honor a player who was taken from this world far too soon.
Ventura was a key contributor to Kansas City’s World Series run two seasons ago. He was just 25 years old when he passed.
