The New Orleans Saints went up 13-0 in the first quarter when Drew Brees found Garrett Griffin for a five-yard touchdown, and the tight end was wide open.
Remarkably, it was the first catch Griffin has made all year, and as Joe Buck noted during the FOX Sports broadcast, he was only recently added to the roster.

In addition to a stunning block by Mark Ingram at the line of scrimmage, the Saints were aided by a violent collision by two Rams defenders. They absolutely did not have their heads on a swivel and picked one another off, springing Griffin for the easy score.

It’s been a rough start for the Rams in New Orleans. A Todd Gurley drop led to a Jared Goff interception, and it’s been all Saints, all the time so far in this one.
