Right at the end of the first half, Purdue was set up for a 30-yard field goal that would have given them a seven-point lead over Ohio State.
Head coach Jeff Brohm wasn’t having it.
He sent his field-goal unit out onto the field, but instead of going for three he called for a fake that worked to perfection.

His offense rewarded him with a touchdown right afterward, which gave the Boilermakers a 14-3 lead heading into the half.

Twitter went nuts over this ballsy call.
Jeff Brohm, folks. Purdue fakes a 30 yard field goal as the holder, Schopper, runs for a first down. That's how you pull off an upset. First and goal at the OSU 9 with 31 second left in the first half.

Purdue, you're doing great and all, but no you don't pic.twitter.com/8y6kAZpEsm

Purdue!! Had the privilege of being there the day Brohm was introduced. So much energy, excitement, hope and confidence. No matter the outcome of this game, the culture there has changed. A different level of belief and expectation. So fun.

Jeff Brohm … guts. Purdue fakes the FG, picks up the 1st down, then scores a TD to make it 14-3 over OSU just before the half
