Boston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts has been dominating both at the plate and in the field during what could very well be an MVP campaign for the star.
Detroit Tigers outfielder Leonys Martin found that out first hand Saturday evening. Here, we see Betts absolutely rob the veteran of a homer, clearing the fence and bringing the ball back from what was home run territory.
It might very well be the best catch of the season.

This is in no way abnormal for the two-time Gold Glove winner. Betts has been making similar plays all season long. He’s legitimately saved Red Sox pitchers multiple home runs throughout the campaign, this being the latest.
At the plate, Betts is hitting an AL-best .354 with a .444 on-base percentage and 23 homers.
Can you say MVP?
