Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky has been so darn impressive this summer, and he was at it again on Sunday.
Early in the fourth quarter against the Tennessee Titans, Trubisky found receiver Tanner Gentry streaking down the left side of the field and dropped a dime on his guy. You don’t see many prettier passes than this one. It’s important to note that Chicago’s offensive line deserves a pat on the back on this play, too.
BOOM!
Six points, please.@MTrubisky10 has an absolute cannon for an arm. 💪💪💪 #CHIvsTEN https://t.co/XXHy5JAIUa— NFL (@NFL) August 27, 2017
To this point in the game, Trubisky was 7-of-10 for 101 yards with that one touchdown pass.
He’s done better than any of the experts thought he would to this point, making Chicago’s plan to keep him on the sidelines all year one that’s come under some fire. Of course, it helps the team’s cause that Mike Glennon also had a nice outing before giving way to the rookie out of North Carolina.
Needless to say, even though Glennon will be the starter in Week 1, Trubisky will be on the tip of everyone’s tongue should the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback struggle.
