After 10 years playing in the NFL, running back Matt Forte announced his retirement.
On Friday, Forte made his announcement official by posting this amazing and symbolic video.
This video shows him running to the top of a snowy hill and hanging a pair of Chicago Bears cleats on a fence post. On the cleats read — “God is good”.
The Bears cleats are only appropriate considering Forte spent most of his career as a work horse running back for Chicago. He was drafted by Chicago in the second round and played eight seasons with the team. During this stretch, he recorded 12,718 scrimmage yards and 64 total touchdowns.
He then went on to spend two seasons with the New York Jets before calling it quits in the NFL.
We wish Forte the very best with whatever his future holds.
