The San Francisco 49ers got on the board early Sunday night thanks to wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, who burned the Minnesota Vikings.
Capping off a tremendous 79-yard drive, Goodwin got behind Minnesota’s secondary, using his Olympic speed, and Brian Hoyer dropped the ball into his breadbasket.

Goodwin has been impressive all summer long in training camp. Now we can see what all the fuss was about.
Hoyer deserves praise for that throw as well. He also made some nice throws to Pierre Garcon, who converted two first downs on the scoring drive for a total of 26 yards. Goodwin’s touchdown put the 49ers up early by the score of 7-0.
