It took almost no time for Featherweight star Makwan Amirkhani to submit Danny Henry early in their preliminary round matchup in UFC 251 Saturday evening.
Anyone who has seen Mr. Amirkhani fight in the past knows full well what he’s capable of. In fact, his quick submission of Henry Saturday night represented the 11th career first-round ending in just his 19th fight.
As you can see, Amirkhani helped raise Henry’s legs as the latter was unconscious on the mat. This helped Henry wake up. Talk about respect and professionalism.
For Amirkhani, this is a pretty big win after dropping his previous bout against Shane Burgos back in UFC 244 last November. Maybe he will be seen on the main card next time around.
