As the Kentucky Wildcats roll into the new year, the team hopes 2019 will be a breakout year for wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. The explosive sophomore got started early with a sensational 58-yard punt return touchdown in the Citrus Bowl.
Kentucky’s defense did an excellent job holding the Penn State Nittany Lions and forced a punt from the two-yard line. Bowden Jr. took the punt, saw some open space and turned on the jets on a beautiful, ankle-breaking touchdown return.

It couldn’t have come at a better time for the Wildcats as their offense had largely struggled throughout the first quarter. Hopefully, this play starts leading to more opportunities for Bowden Jr. to put his playmaking abilities on display.
