In a game that had already been very sloppy, and pretty darn chippy, West Virginia’s Kenny Robinson finally crossed the line in a major way with a dirty, nasty hit and was tossed for targeting.
Syracuse receiver Taj Harris was already on the ground when Robinson intentionally, brutally speared him with the crown of his helmet. The hit struck Harris at the base of the neck and he was in obvious pain afterward.

The refs officiating this game didn’t take long to review the play and confirm that Robinson would be ejected for what was very obviously targeting.
Two plays later, Syracuse scored its second touchdown of the game to go up 14-9.
