WATCH: Kenny Pickett passes Dan Marino for most TDs in school history

NCAA Football: Miami at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett has had a phenomenal season, becoming a legitimate Heisman candidate along the way. As he’s led the Panthers to a strong 6-1 start, the fifth-year senior is having another strong performance today against Miami at Heinz Field.

With his third passing touchdown of the game, Pickett passed Dan Marino for the most touchdowns in Pitt school history. The touchdown was Pickett’s 83rd of his Panthers football career, giving him the edge over a Hall-of-Fame quarterback. While Pickett has accomplished a lot in his time at Pitt, this moment has to be near the top of the list.

However, Pitt finds themselves down 38-31 to Miami at the end of the third quarter. If the Panthers don’t find a way to come away with the win, Pickett’s achievement today may be all for naught.
