Charlotte Hornets rookie first-round pick Miles Bridges was known for his elite-level athleticism at Michigan State before he was selected 12th in last month’s draft.
It sure looks like the Toronto Raptors got a first-hand view of Bridges’ talent during Saturday’s Summer League contest in Las Vegas.
This two-play sequence shows the 20-year-old Bridges driving past multiple defenders before rocking the rim. Then, almost immediately after, the former Spartan standout nearly pulled off a pass off the back board for another monstrous jam.

The level of competition matters little here. Bridges was out there clowning on Toronto in every possible way. He wanted it all.
Sadly, the second of these plays didn’t necessarily go according to plan. As you can see, Bridges was unable to throw down the slam after a perfect pass off the backboard.
In any event, a downtrodden Hornets squad now has something to be excited about. Bridges is going to flash big time as a rookie this coming season.
