The Memphis Grizzlies have a couple young studs in that of Jaren Jackson Jr. and rookie Ja Morant.
Both were on full display in the team’s regular-season opener against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
Just check out the ultra-athletic Jackson Jr. putting new Heat big man Meyers Leonard on a poster. It’s the first of this ilk early in the NBA season. And it’s a whopper.
Jackson really didn’t have to do Leonard so dirty in his Heat debut. I mean, this dude likely has family in attendance in South Beach.
Memphis is expecting big things from the 20-year-old forward after they made him the No. 4 pick in last year’s NBA draft. He’s obviously ready to provide that.
Despite likely struggling as a team this season, Jackson Jr. and Morant should be a fun tandem to keep an eye on.
