WATCH: Fernando Tatis Jr. with first career MLB homer

Monday night’s game against the division rival Arizona Diamondbacks didn’t start too well for the San Diego Padres. Arizona opened up a 5-0 lead through three innings and plated another four runs in the fifth.

That’s the bad news for fans in San Diego. The good news? Stud youngster and prized prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. nailed his first ever homer — a two-run shot off Merrill Kelly in the bottom of the sixth.

Check it out here.

Talk about a massive shot. That was one heck of a laser from the 20-year-old infielder.

It was just last week that Tatis Jr. joined this one Hall of Famer in rare company by collecting two hits in his MLB debut. He’s now added a homer to the mix.
