Florida Atlantic receiver John Franklin III took a page out of DeSean Jackson’s book, dropping the ball right before crossing the goal line Saturday in the Conference-USA Championship Game against North Texas.
The game was well out of hand when it happened, as the Owls led 41-17. Still, Franklin just cannot do stuff like this, and we’re sure Lane Kiffin will let him know that at some point based on his facial expression after the refs ruled he dropped the ball before crossing the goal line.

Franklin is famous for being featured on the Netflix series “Last Chance U.” Now he’ll land a minor role as an infamous figure in college football for celebrating a bit prematurely.

There’s a reason that John Franklin III has played on four different teams in his college career.

Kiffin tried to tack one on North Texas but Last Chance U. clown John Franklin III retains clown status dropping the ball before he crosses the goal line
