In college football, tight ends don’t often get a lot of attention. Eastern Michigan tight end Gunnar Oakes is looking to change that and he showed it with an impressive one-handed touchdown grab.
Early in the second quarter of EMU’s in-state battle against Western Michigan, Oakes created separation in coverage then extended out his arm to make an outstanding one-handed grab in the end zone for a game-tying score.

After being redshirted in 2017, the freshman is clearly working hard this season and pulling off some incredible plays to get more playing time moving forward.
While most players first collegiate touchdowns are fairly regular plays, Oakes raised the bar with this one-handed grab for the first touchdown of his career.
