The XFL wanted to provide football fans with non-stop action and plenty of big plays. It’s already delivering in the first game. After scoring the first touchdown of the XFL season, Seattle Dragons receiver Austin Proehl turned on the jets to smoke the DC Defenders defense once again.
Just moments after D.C.’s offense executed an incredible trick-play touchdown, the Dragons answered with some of their own heat on offense. Quarterback Brandon Silvers slipped through the pass rush then chucked the ball to his go-to receiver in open space. Once the ball was in Proehl’s hands, that’s all she wrote on his scorching 57-yard touchdown.
While the first XFL game might have started slow, it’s quickly catching fire with big plays, incredible moments and some unique features that football fans are falling in love with. If this is a glimpse of what’s to come, the 2020 XFL season is going to be one to remember.
