WATCH: Chargers-Raiders Stadium Hype Video

Even in its infancy, the idea of the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders sharing a stadium in Southern California has the football world abuzz.

As you already know, the two teams released a joint statement indicating their plans to build a new stadium in the city of Carson should they be unable to work out stadium issues in San Diego and Oakland.

Immediately after that announcement, and to the surprise of absolutely no one, a hype video was released showing us what the potential stadium might look like.

And it’s magnificent.

A couple things stand out here.

* Notice how the inside of the stadium looks eerily similar to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara?

* The grass-based parking lot is awesome.

* It also looks like the stadium is on stilts, which should be worrisome in the earthquake zone of Southern California. I am pretty sure that those involved in the building of the stadium will make sure there’s no issue on that front.

Carson is located about 15 miles south of Los Angeles, making it an ideal spot for a stadium. In addition to this, there’s freeway access right there by where the stadium will potentially be built. For those of us familiar with Southern California, that’s a big deal.

While there’s no guarantee that this stadium plan will actually come to fruition, the leaves seem to be blowing in that direction.

If so, this design looks pretty darn amazing.
