Lob City is back, baby. After missing more than three months due to a lingering quad issue, Blake Griffin scored his first points in his return to action Sunday on an alley-oop from Chris Paul midway through the first quarter.

It will be interesting to see how much Griffin can play the next couple of weeks as the playoffs loom.

He told reporters Saturday that his injured quad is still not 100 percent healthy and that there is still a tear which hasn’t healed.

Both Griffin and head coach Doc Rivers mentioned the need to ease him into action at this time so as to not aggravate the issue further.

The Clippers will need the dynamic forward to be as healthy as possible entering the playoffs to have a chance to compete with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs in the west.

Based on early returns, it appears the return of Griffin should spark the offense down the stretch.
