After sporting a sluggish offense for nearly three full quarters, the Chicago Bears decided to get tricky to score their first touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. Punter Pat O’Donnell found Benny Cunningham on a fake punt. Cunningham then went into the end zone, completing a 38-yard touchdown pass.

Interestingly enough, the pass was the Bears longest completion of the season. That was not lost on “Monday Night Football” color commentator Jon Gruden.
“Well there’s a pass play more than 30 yards!” <— great line from Gruden after the fake punt

When you’re 1-3, you take what you can get.
Unfortunately for Chicago, the happiness was short lived. The Vikings answered that touchdown with one of their own on a 58-yard run from Jerick McKinnon.
