Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill might be one of the most electric players in the NFL. He also has a history of off-field issues dating back to the Pro Bowler’s days with Oklahoma State.
Unfortunately, the slow part of the NFL calendar has Hill in the news for all the wrong reasons. Local 10 News in Miami reports that the Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating Hill for allegedly hitting a man working at a local marina.
The report indicates that Hill “got into some kind of disagreement” with an employee based at the Haulover Marina in South Beach on Sunday. The department confirmed on Tuesday that Hill is under criminal investigation regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the alleged victim does not want to press charges at this time. In no way does this mean that criminal charges will not be brought against Tyreek Hill. That’s up to the evidence and local authorities.
A fifth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2016, Hill was dealt to the Miami Dolphins ahead of last season. The seven-time Pro Bowler responded by putting up 119 receptions for 1,710 yards in his first season with the Dolphins.

As for Hill’s history, it is pretty checkered. He was arrested back in December of 2014 in Oklahoma after allegations that he assaulted his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend. The accusations against Hill were pretty darn ugly before he pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation. OSU ultimately kicked Hill out of the program.
Regardless of whether criminal charges are filed against Hill, the NFL can take action under the guise of its personal conduct policy.
