It’s looking more and more like a sure thing that Brock Osweiler is going to get the start for the Denver Broncos in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins.
On Friday evening, Mike Klis reported it as a likely eventuality, based solely on the fact that Paxton Lynch is still not healthy enough to play through a 60-minute game. So, Osweiler is starting by default, quite simply because the Broncos have nobody else to turn to right now.
Then on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the same thing, meaning it would be a minor miracle for Lynch to get the start.
Broncos’ QB Brock Osweiler is likely to start Sunday vs Washington, per league source.

Not really surprising news, whatsoever. Then social media users started responding, and we were suddenly laughing our butts off. Here are the best, and some of the most savage responses we found to Schefter reporting on this development.

It sure seems like nobody really thinks Osweiler has the chops to duplicate his excellent showing against Indianapolis in relief last weekend when Trevor Siemian got hurt. Not that we blame them. Osweiler is known for throwing the ball to the other team, and he very well could put the Broncos in the pit of misery once again Sunday in Washington, D.C.
