It seems as if the Kansas City Chiefs made the right choice to trade Alex Smith and move into the Patrick Mahomes era.
On Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the second-year quarterback had already thrown six touchdown passes early in the fourth quarter, setting an NFL record in the process.

With it, he had thrown 10 touchdowns in his first two games of the season, setting a new mark for most in the first two games in the Super Bowl era.
At this point in the game, Mahomes had 309 yards on 20-of-23 passing with the six touchdowns and no interceptions as Kansas City took a 42-28 lead over Pittsburgh.
Twitter users everywhere were in awe of his magnificent performance.
Another TD for Patrick Mahomes. He now has 10 TD passes in his first two weeks of the season. It's the greatest two-week start for any quarterback in the Super Bowl era. Holy cow.

Wait until those famed NFL defenses catch up to Patrick Mahomes when they get on tape that he's, uh, throwing perfectly-placed passes on every play and knows exactly what to do on every decision. It'll be, uh, over then.
