It finally happened. For the first time since Sept. 12, 2009, the Kansas Jayhawks have won a football game away from Lawrence.
Kansas defeated Central Michigan on Saturday, 31-7. Peyton Bender and Pooka Williams Jr. led the charge on offense, and the defense came up with four interceptions, including a 55-yard pick-six by Shakai Taylor.
The streak is finally over, after 46 straight losses, and Twitter rejoiced accordingly.

Kansas won. On the road. The universal correction that results from this will be a doozy.

Now it’s time to break another streak next weekend.
Next up for Kansas? Breaking a 40-game road losing streak in Big 12 play. Last conference road win came against Iowa State on Oct. 4, 2008.
