The Virginia Cavaliers were ranked No. 25 by the College Football Playoff selection committee heading into Week 10. It was the first time in program history that Virginia had been ranked by this entity.
Then they were taken behind the woodshed at home by the Pittsburgh Panthers, who were the more physical team on a wet, soggy night in Charlottesville and won 23-13.

Big road win for Pat Narduzzi and #Pitt over No. 25 UVA. Now 4-1 in the ACC & have won three of their last four with the lone loss by five at ND.

Pitt has been such a weird team this year. They're first place in the ACC Coastal. They could still miss a bowl game.
