Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic will be sidelined at least four weeks because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced Wednesday.
Per the Trail Blazers, Nurkic has played through symptoms of plantar fasciitis since September. He will continue his treatment and be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Nurkic, 27, has averaged 15.0 points and a career-high 11.1 rebounds in 56 games (all starts) this season.
The 7-footer has averaged 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 411 career games (330 starts) with the Denver Nuggets and Trail Blazers.
Nurkic was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft on June 26. He was traded that night along with Gary Harris and a 2015 second-round pick to the Nuggets for Doug McDermott and Anthony Randolph.
