Any time anyone thinks Tom Brady might have an injury the whole of Patriots Nation folds in upon itself, assumes the fetal position and lets panic take over.
Over the weekend, rumors developed that Brady was dealing with a back injury, which of course made national headlines.
Breathe easy, Patriots fans. It’s no biggie.
As of Sunday, however, whatever might have been an issue clearly was not. Brady put in more work than has since the start of August.
Brady was 17 of 22 in his busiest day since Aug. 2.
Maybe the biggest development has been Isaiah Wynn getting a look at right tackle behind Waddle. If Cannon is down for a while longer, Wynn could compete with Waddle for the job.

A few thoughts on offense from Sunday’s practice: 1. Tom Brady’s reported back injury not an issue as he has expanded workload; 2. Isaiah Wynn getting first look at right tackle, at times rotating in w/ top unit; 3. Jeremy Hill as lead RB with Rex Burkhead/Sony Michel not present

This is obviously the best possible news for both Brady and the Patriots.
The offense was in bad shape Thursday night as Brady sat out. Brian Hoyer was a miserable wreck in the first half but did have a stronger showing against reserves in the second half.
Brady probably doesn’t need to play a single snap this preseason to come out and dominate come Week 1. But whether he plays in an exhibition game or not, it’s great to see the GOAT is healthy heading into the second preseason game.
