Minnesota Timberwolves star big man Karl-Anthony Towns tweaked his knee in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday night.
Considered questionable heading into Wednesday’s outing with the Pelicans, Towns has now been ruled out.
The good news here is that Towns’ injury doesn’t seem to be too severe. Minnesota is probably holding him out as more of a precaution.
One of the game’s most-talented big men, Towns is averaging a career-best 26.5 points to go with 11.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season.
