The Detroit Tigers acquired outfielder/first baseman Mark Canha from the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday in exchange for minor-league pitcher Blake Holub.
Canha, 34, batted .262 with 11 homers and 62 RBIs in 139 games split last season between the New York Mets and Brewers.
He is a career .250 hitter with 113 homers and 417 RBIs with the Oakland Athletics, Mets and Brewers.
Holub, a 25-year-old right-hander, posted a 6-4 record with a 3.03 ERA in 48 games last season split between Single-A West Michigan and Double-A Erie.
