There’s going to be one less potential top-end quarterback prospect available in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Mere hours after Alabama signal caller Tua Tagovailoa announced he’s going pro, fellow big-name quarterback Sam Ehlinger will remain in school.
Ehlinger took to social media Monday night to announce that he’s returning to Texas for his senior season.
This has to be seen as a major boon the Texas. The 6-foot-3 Ehlinger is coming off a tremendous junior season and was looking at likely being a Day 2 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The prototypical quarterback put up north of 4,300 total yards with 39 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions for the Longhorns this past season.
Ehlinger will now look to up his stock as he heads back to Austin for another season.
