It’s already that time in the college football calendar. With the regular season pretty much a wrap, top-end players will start declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.
According to Chris Hummer of 247 Sports, star Texas Christian receiver Jalen Reagor is the first of his ilk to do just that. Reagor’s father, Montae, confirmed the news on Monday.
The 5-foot-11 pass catcher has been absolutely dynamic on both offense and special teams in three seasons with the Horned Frogs.
He put up 72 receptions for 1,061 yards with nine touchdowns as a sophomore last season. Reagor is also averaging 14.2 yards per catch on 43 receptions this season.
Despite his smallish frame, the expectation is that Reagor will get some play at the end of the first round or in the second round of April’s draft.
How he performs during TCU’s pro day and the NFL Scouting Combine will play a large role in where the receiver is selected.
