It’s hard enough to get the average fan to leave his/her couch, cheap food, massive high definition television(s) and buy tickets to sporting events. Per this story from Yahoo! Sports, this company is making it worse. Die hard fans? Yes. But is this hurting your team?
It seems that every major sporting team wants to encourage tailgating. It gets fans closer to what is now the “experience” of game day. As ticket and concession prices rise, so do the number of people who don’t want to pay to see the game in person.
It’s easy to side with these fans from Texas Tech, who wouldn’t want to tailgate in contraption like this?

Hopefully your team continues to sell out their games, otherwise the “experience” is going to be in the parking lot.
Then again, traditions like this also make it hard to attend the game.
