Second-year Phoenix Suns star center Deandre Ayton made his return to the court earlier this week after serving a 25-game suspension.
Unfortunately for the young man and his rising team, Ayton’s return will be limited to that one game.
The former No. 1 pick suffered a sprained ankle in Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers and has already been ruled out for the team’s next outing.
This certainly is not great news. Ayton was an absolute stud for the Suns last season, averaging 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds on 55% shooting from the field.
Phoenix currently sits at 11-16 on the season. The team is already on pace to win more games than each of the past four seasons.
