Steve Stricker was announced as the 2020 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain on Wednesday, and at the end of his press conference he was faced with a ridiculous question about President Donald Trump and the upcoming 2020 election.
The question was posed by Chuck Quirmbach of Milwaukee Public Radio, who asked Stricker if Trump’s re-election campaign would somehow lead to more pressure for the U.S. Ryder Cup team to perform well.
Stricker’s initial reaction was priceless.
When it’s time to wrap up a @RyderCupUSA press conference files… @stevestricker’s face is at least fun to watch both times this stupid question was posed pic.twitter.com/YL8RuAwFPB

In the end Stricker made it clear that the golfers won’t remotely be thinking about President Donald Trump while they’re out on the course competing. Because of course they won’t.
