Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim had a very priceless response when asked about the current quarterback situation approaching the NFL Draft.

To be sure, the quarterback roster must be addressed sooner rather than later. For now, Carson Palmer is No. 1 starting option. But, he is signed only through the 2018 season which takes him to the age of 39.
Palmer has been with the Cardinals since 2013 and experienced his most productive season in 2015 passing for a career-high 4,671 yards, 35 touchdowns and had only 11 interceptions. Last year saw Palmer take some steps back in each of these stats.
During the offseason, Palmer committed to playing in 2017. Considering this was a topic of debate, however, the writing is on the wall.
Beyond Palmer, the Cardinals have Drew Stanton signed through 2017. Other than that, second-year quarterback Zac Dysert is the only other option. The Cardinals recently suggested that replacing Palmer with a veteran quarterback might be an option for the future. But so far, all seems quiet on that front.
The team could select a rookie at pick No. 13. Hopefully Keim manages his beauty sleep while still getting the wheels in motion to eventually find a successor to Palmer.
