The Piscotty family is grieving in a big way right now after Gretchen Piscotty passed away following her fight with ALS. On Tuesday night, Oakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty came up to the plate for the first time since she passed, and the crowd in Oakland honored her memory in a big way with a standing ovation for her son.

It was an extremely touching, emotional moment for Piscotty, but he managed to corral his emotions and singled into right-center field.
We wish his family nothing but the best as they continue to work through their loss. And may Gretchen rest in peace.
