The San Antonio Spurs added four more players into the health and safety protocol Thursday, including second-leading scorer Keldon Johnson and starting guard Derrick White.
Guard Devin Vassell and forward Thaddeus Young joined Johnson and White on the COVID list.
The Spurs already have Doug McDermott in the protocol. Lonnie Walker IV and Devontae Cacok have exited the protocol and are going through reconditioning. Both players are listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
ESPN reported the Spurs are signing guard Anthony Lamb to a 10-day hardship deal.
Johnson averages 14.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in 36 starts this season. Both are career-best stats for the third-year pro out of Kentucky.
White is averaging 14.5 points and 5.5 assists per game in 37 starts.
Vassell is averaging 11.1 points and 25.0 minutes per game off the bench, and Young goes for 6.0 points per game in 14.0 minutes per contest.
The Spurs (15-22) are 1-3 during a seven-game road trip.
