When news broke that St. Louis Rams Owner Stan Kroenke is developing a new stadium in Los Angeles, rapper Snoop Dogg seemed pretty thrilled about the plans (via Yahoo Sports).
We need it. We need a football team. We’re one of the biggest markets for football. We deserve it. Hopefully we’ll get a great team to come and restore the feeling. All we’ve got right now is USC and UCLA.
The Rams are rebuilding right now, so they might be the better bet. The Raiders have been here before and it didn’t work out. Either/or, it don’t matter.
Snoop is currently promoting his ESPN documentary “Snoop & Son,” which tells the story of his son’s desire for football fame. While attending his premiere event at the College Football Hall of Fame, Snoop excitedly discussed the possibility of the NFL finally getting back to Los Angeles.
Looking like the return of the NFL to L.A. might actually occur after years of speculation, it would appear that the Rams would be the team in the forefront to move to move to the nation’s second-largest media market.
And they’ll have a pretty big fan in Snoop.
