The Philadelphia 76ers received some pretty good news on Thursday, one day after All-Star Ben Simmons exited early against the Utah Jazz with a shoulder injury.
It doesn’t seem to be too serious. Simmons will miss Friday’s outing against the Denver Nuggets with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder.
X-rays were originally negative as it relates to the injury. It’s considered a minor sprain.
Simmons will be re-evaluated ahead of Sunday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets in Philadelphia. Another report suggests that he could be out the next three outings.
Simmons, 23, was averaging 15.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 3.3 steals in six games before leaving early on Wednesday.
