Seth Curry lands four-year, $32 million contract with Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks and Seth Curry have come to an agreement on a four-year contract worth $32 million heading into the 2019-20 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dallas needed a strong perimeter defender, and Curry certainly has improved in that area. He can score when called upon as well, though his outside shot isn’t nearly as deadly as that of his more famous brother, Stephen Curry.

Last year, Curry appeared in 74 regular-season games with the Portland Trail Blazers and all 16 of the team’s postseason games. He averaged 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.5 steals per game averaging just under 19 minutes per game.

He’ll be a valuable role player for the Mavericks and should provide stability to the second unit.
