New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is inactive for Sunday’s game against the visiting New York Giants due to an ankle injury.
Olave sustained the injury during New Orleans’ 28-6 win over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. He has missed all three of the team’s practices this week and will sit out his first game of the season.
Olave, 23, leads the team in receptions (72), receiving yards (918) and touchdown receptions (four).
Rashid Shaheed, who is second on the team in receiving yards (534) and touchdown catches (three), is active after missing the last two games due to a thigh contusion.
In addition to Olave, the Saints (6-7) listed the following players as inactive: right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, cornerback Cameron Dantzler, quarterback Jake Haener, defensive end Isaiah Foskey, running back Kendre Miller and linebacker Monty Rice.
The Giants (5-8) listed wide receiver Parris Campbell, running back Jashaun Corbin, safety Gervarrius Owens, linebacker Boogie Basham and tackle Evan Neal.
