On Monday, Colorado Rockies second baseman Trevor Story hit a three-run home run to help his team win against the San Francisco Giants.
His three-run shot gave the Rockies seven runs in the game, which as fans know means it’s 50-cent taco night at Denver-area Taco Bell locations.
In celebration of this, the Rockies send out a photo of Story wearing a gold chain with a taco on it.

And that’s where the Miami Hurricanes come into this story. The college football team is known for utilizing a now famous, extremely gaudy “turnover chain” that players don whenever they create a turnover.
Showing their appreciation for being copied, the Canes sent the Rockies a message on Twitter, responding to the taco chain tweet by writing, “#StoryTime Vol. 27: Rockies earn Taco Chain, Canes Approve.”

Lately, the turnover chain has been getting a bit more negative publicity than anything positive.
It’s nice to see the Canes are still having fun with the whole idea.
