Reports: Heretics add Mertz, TENZKI to Valorant roster

Team Heretics

Heretics have added former CS:GO players Daniel “Mertz” Mertz and Jesper “TENZKI” Plougmann to their Valorant roster, according to reports by Cybersport.pl and Dot Esports.

The European team has underdone an overhaul since failing to qualify for the Valorant Champions Tour Stage Three Challengers Two main event last summer.

Mertz, 23, has played for numerous CS:GO teams including North, Heroic, Singularity and most recently Nordavind. However, he was moved to the inactive roster in August and announced in September that he was leaving the CS:GO scene after six years.

TENZKI, 27, also moved to Nordavind’s inactive roster in August before joining South later that month. His professional CS:GO career began in 2012 and TENZKI played for numerous organizations including SK Gaming, Team Dignitas, Rogue and ALTERNATE aTTaX.

The Danish pair will now be a part of the Heroics team that is slated to take part in the VCT EMEA circuit beginning in late January. Joining them will be Felix “al0rante” Brandl and Christian “lowel” Garcia Antoran, with Dot Esports reporting that a new in-game leader is also expected to be added.
