The Dallas Cowboys appear to have gotten off easy as it concerns All-Pro left guard Zack Martin, who left Saturday night’s game early with a knee injury.
After an MRI Sunday, the prognosis looks good. David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reported the results are “encouraging.”

Here’s a look at the play in which Martin was injured against the San Francisco 49ers.
Source told @DavidMooreDMN that MRI results showed Zack Martin did not suffer a significant left knee injury on this play. He exited the game but returned to the sidelines in the 4th quarter. Afterward, he was on the ground being attended to by trainers for a bit before limping off the field.
This is obviously the best possible news the Cowboys could have gotten. Martin is not only one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL, but he recently signed a record contract extension that included a massive amount of guaranteed money.
