After playing in a total of 67 games over the past two seasons, former NBA Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans is in the midst of a breakout campaign for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Stepping up with the likes of Chandler Parsons and Mike Conley injured, Evans is averaging 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the Grizzlies this season. He could now also be on his way out of town.
According to this report from Grizzlies beat writer Ronald Tillery, it looks like Evans could in fact be headed to the Boston Celtics.

With an ability to play all three perimeter positions, the veteran would be a nice addition for any contending team. He also has an extremely cap-friendly contract at $3.3 million for this season and is set to become a free agent during the summer.
Considering Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier are playing well off the bench in Boston, it’s not yet known where Evans might fit in with the Celtics. But adding someone that can drop 30 to a team that currently boasts the best record in the Eastern Conference wouldn’t be a bad thing.
