Fielder, who was hitting just .247 with three homers this season, joins a whole host of Rangers’ players who will be sitting out the remainder of the 2014 season.
Fielder now joins Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Martin Perez and Jurickson Profar on the 60-day disabled list.
For his part, the news wasn’t good for Profar today either.
That Prince Fielder news for the Rangers is rough, but I think the news that Jurickson Profar might be out 2-3 months is even bigger.
