According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, Steve Kerr will be the new head coach of the Golden State Warriors. The deal is said to be worth $25 million over five seasons. Kerr, who has zero coaching experience, will replace Mark Jackson on the bench in Golden State.Â
Stunner: Steve Kerr spurns the Knicks, accepts Warriors' head coach job. Story coming on http://t.co/tv9kc59jsI.

Kerr turned down the New York Knicks in order to become the Warriors new head coach. That’s the shocker in all of this, as it seems the upstart Warriors were a more attractive destination for Kerr. Remember, the Knicks are now run by Phil Jackson, who has a long history with the former Chicago Bulls point guard.
This news is still breaking, but it appears that the Warriors got their guy.
