This keeps Bradford from hitting the open market, and it solidifies the plans of rookie head coach Doug Pederson, who wanted Bradford to remain in Philly to begin with.
He’s making a considerable amount to stay, too.

What is known is that the Eagles recently upped their offer to Bradford as a means to entice him to stay. The ploy has worked, and now he’ll be the team’s offensive leader through the 2017 season.
Bradford’s 2015 season started out poorly, leading many to believe Chip Kelly made a mistake when he traded Nick Foles to the then St. Louis Rams in exchange for the quarterback. However, as the season wore on and as Bradford’s knee continued to heal, he improved dramatically, finishing with 3,725 yards with 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Philadelphia is set for the short term, but this can also be seen as quite the risky move, considering his history of injuries. Bradford missed time last year and has had two major knee injuries since joining the NFL in 2010 as the No. 1 overall pick out of Oklahoma.
The Eagles would be smart to consider drafting a quarterback to groom for the future, but for now it’s Bradford’s time to shine in Philly.
